Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco
In our Machu Picchu tour by train full day we pick you up from your hotel early in the morning (around 3.30 am) we will drive to Ollantaytambo train station.
the pick-up can be from a sacred valley like Pisaq, Urubamba, or Ollantaytambo just you need to confirm the location at the meeting time and the pickup time will change of course depending on the location.
From Cusco we will drive to Ollantaytambo in our private transportation to Ollantaytambo train station where we will catch the train to Machu Picchu, we will take the train at (6:15 approx.) this time to be confirmed.
We will take the train ride from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu which takes 1:45 minutes we will follow the sacred river (Wilcamayu) with a spectacular view and some Inca sites this you will see veronica glacier, kilometer 82 the official starting point of the official Inca trail 4 days to Machu Picchu then you will see Inca sites the biggest one is Patallaqta considered the biggest Inca site along the Inca trail, some others more like Quentepata all the way to Machupicchu Pueblo.
Once we arrive at Machu Picchu pueblo or Aguas Caliente we will approach the bus station that goes to Machu Picchu citadel this ride takes 25 minutes once at Machu Picchu you will have to show your original passports and the entrance tickets then your guide will take you to the guard house of Machu Picchu from where you will have the classic photo of this majestic place then your tour guide will show you the most important places and you will learn about the Incas and the history!!
Once you finish exploring you have to take the bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo if you still have time you can buy your lunch and after lunch, we have to go to the train station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo here one of our representatives will be waiting for you to pick you up and take you back to Cusco and drop you off in your hotel.
