The Inca quarry Trek is one of the newest trekking routes in the Cusco region. Based in the area around Ollantaytambo the Inca quarry trek takes you along the incredible waterfalls, Inca ruins and beautiful scenery of the sacred valley and mountains surrounding the valley one of the fascinating place will be the Inca quarry from where the Incas were taking rocks to built Ollantaytambo Inca site.

Day 01: Cusco –Socma – Rayanniyuc
for our Inca Quarry trek we start at 5:30 am in our private transportation from Cusco you will drive along the sacred valley passing by Chinchero, Urubamba before we get to Ollantaytambo we cross the Urubamba river in order to get to starting point of our trek call Socma here we will enjoy our first breakfast and get ready our duffle-bag in order to give to our horsemen them we will start with our amazing adventure to the Inca quarry we will pass through the village of Socma here will be able to see one beautiful waterfall called Perolniyoc, along the way we will appreciate different farm field where local farmer grow potatoes, corn, quinoa etc. all of those crops are totally organic!! After we enjoy the beautiful waterfall we will continue hiking uphill in order to arrive in our first Inca site of Qorimarca here you will get information about the site by your tour guide, then we will continue for like one hour more or less until our first lunch and campsite called Rayanniyoc over 3700 m. 12139 ft., after lunch you will have free afternoon then we will have our Andean happy hour after dinner before you go to bed you should have a look the constellations, of course, your tour guide will help you.
Day 02: Rayanniyuc – Chancachuco pass – quarry pass – Cachiccata quarry
Our amazing Andean porters will wake us up with a hot coca tea after you will have time organize your stuff and get ready your duffle bag afterward we will have breakfast then we will start with our second day adventure the first part is going up in this area still will be able to see highland crops as well we will local people caring for their fields. it will take us 3 hours more or less until we get to the first summit called Pukaphujio this is over 4400m. 14080 ft. here we will stop to enjoy the amazing views of the Andes mountains, glacier and the sacred valley from above which will be a unique then we will continue for another 20 minutes more to our lunch spot after lunch we have 4 more hours until we get to our second campsite this second part will much easier will be up and down still we will be gaining height in order to get to the highest point of the trek from this point you will have unbelievable view of the highest snow-capped mountains like Veronica or (Wakaywilka called like that by the Incas) with an elevation of 5830m 19127ft. as well you can see Chicon mount, Pitusira, of course,e these mountains are guarding the sacred valley of the Incas, then will continue hiking down to our campsite for 3 hours more or less this part of the hike it could be slippery or dusty depends of the weather condition, on the downhill we will visit two Incan sites, the sun gate of Ollantaytambo town the views from this place is Unreal you can see all the mountains then we are going to visit another inca site call choquetacarpo and this will be our camp.
Day 03: Inca quarry – Ollanataytambo – Machupicchu Pueblo
Today will be an easy day like this we will have extra hour to sleep as always our porters will wake us up with a hot coca tea them we will have time to get ready our stuff them breakfast after breakfast we will visit the famous Inca quarry of Ollantaytambo here you see how the incas were splitting the rock in order to transport down to the valley a lot of stones ready to take! As well we will see some small thumbs once we finish exploring Inca Quarry we head down to the valley will hike for three hours more or less following the inca platform while you are coming down you will have a spectacular angle of view to the inca living town of Ollanataytambo and the religious place, once we get to the valley we will have our last lunch after lunch we will say good bye to our amazing team we will do a small ceremony for them for their amazing hard work afterwards we will explore the town of ollantaytambo them will take our train to Machupicchu pueblo where we will spend our last night in a hotel.
Day 04: Machupicchu the lost city of the Incas!!
Early in the morning your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel you will go to the bus station in order to take bus to Machupicchu the wonder of the world once you arrive you will have guided tour for two hours where you will visit the most important temples after the guided tour you have your free time in order to explore more, if you have permits to hike either waynapicchu or Machupicchu mountain. Your guide will give you your bus tickets to go down to Machupicchu pueblo as well will offer you a meeting point in a restaurant to enjoy your last lunch in a local restaurant of course this is optional.
In the afternoon you will take the train back to Ollanataytambo where our bus driver will be waiting for you with Andean Soul Adventure logo and take you back to Cuzco end of our Inca quarry trek!.
